Story
THE ORIGIN OF RICKY SUPREME
Ricky Supreme was born on Halloween 1979 in Toronto to immigrant parents from the Azores. His mother cleaned houses. His father worked construction. Their home was full of tension — shaped by alcoholism and domestic violence.
By 16, Ricky was kicked out of school. By 18, he was stabbed and nearly died. Petty charges, courtroom appearances, and survival were the reality. The streets didn’t offer peace — but hip-hop offered purpose.
N.W.A. lit the fuse. Their raw truth and rage felt like home. In 2004, Ricky started producing, crafting beats from scratch and freestyling pain into rhythm. For years, he never wrote a word — until 2013, when he finally started putting his story on paper.
Now a father and a husband, Ricky Supreme is building a legacy from the wreckage. His music blends vintage boom bap with deeply personal storytelling — the kind that doesn’t chase trends, only truth.
This isn’t entertainment. It’s excavation. It’s survival on wax.
